ABOUT FORT WORTH TELCO CREDIT UNION

Fort Worth Telco Credit Union was chartered on March 27, 1935, with the name Northwest Texas Bell Telephone Employees Federal Credit Union. The purpose of organizing the credit union was to bring together a group of people interested in pooling their resources to help each other achieve improved economic status At that time the credit union consisted of ten chartered members, a total of $50 in assets, and all of the work was done by volunteers.

Today, over 65 years later, Fort Worth Telco Credit Union has 40 million in assets and is a full service, member-owned, not-for-profit financial institution.

Membership is open to employees, retirees and family members of Southwestern Bell, American Telephone and Telegraph, all other telecommunication companies, Texas Utilities, subsidiaries and organizations of the above, and other select employee groups and family members, including brothers, sisters, parents, grandparents, in-laws, uncles, aunts, nieces, and nephews.
